Brown talks Memphis commitment

Cordova Defensive End Braylon Brown became the 1st commit for the Tigers in the 2017 class.

Cordova's Defensive Coordinator Coach Bowman talked about Brown, "He is a freak athlete. Aggressive and nasty, they will be getting a good one."

Brown visited Memphis' Jr. Day last month and instantly built a bond with the coaches.

"Man, it's the recruiting. Coach Dickey and Coach Randolph at the Junior Day. I was loving the atmosphere and like they say, "Ain't No Place Like Home'," Brown told TigerSportsReport.

Brown chose Memphis over Cincinnati and Eastern Michigan.

Now that he's committed, Brown stated he'll focus on improving his skills this offseason. He'd like to get even stronger so he can not only dominate his final season at Cordova, but also put himself in position to contribute right away when he gets to Memphis.

Last year Brown registered 38 tackles for Cordova including a safety and a fumble return for a touchdown.
